Beverly Jane Howe, is renowned for her creativity, technique, and style in acrylic paintings on canvas. Her love of color, texture, and illusion, along with her admiration for the French Impressionists, have inspired her distinctive style and resulted in some of the most unique and beautiful paintings of the twentieth and early twenty-first century.
Beverly’s artistic journey began after graduating from Florida State University in 1976. She traveled to New York City and sold her art in Greenwich Village while working with other artists at Creative Hands Gallery. Early in her career, Beverly traveled the Florida “art circuit” and won numerous awards.
In 1979, Beverly received the prestigious “Creative American’s Award” presented by the Stephen Lynch Memorial Foundation for Fine Arts and Literature in recognition of her fine acrylic paintings, which incorporate a varied knowledge of techniques and styles.
Originally Beverly Jane Howe signed her works B. Kirksey and later B. Heckendorn. Since 1989 she has signed her works as Bev. Consequently, there are 3 series of signatures for Beverly Janes Howes work.
